Death Valley

Death Valley is a phenomenally photogenic place.  Look for dunes shots in the Death Valley gallery under the Landscape Categories menu and also see crazy rocks that scoot around a dead flat dry lake bed leaving tracks behind. A phenomenon involving high winds, a bit of rain and some slick algae during the winter.

These locations are the Mesquite Dunes and "The Racetrack" respectively, both in mid to north of Death Valley.  The Racetrack takes 55 miles round trip on rough jeep roads to get to though so be prepared, and bring extra water!
